Search the CEP Law and Policy Database

Users can search the Law & Policy Database by issuing authority or by resource type. The term "issuing authority" refers to the governmental-authority that created the law or policy—i.e., U.S. federal (includes statutes, rules, and executive orders), Colorado (includes state-level statutes, rules, and executive orders), and local (includes county ordinances and land use codes). Use the "Show Authorities" links to see a list of specific authorities associated with an issuing authority (e.g., 111th Congress or U.S. Department of Energy for U.S. Federal; Governor Bill Ritter or Colorado Public Utilities Commission for Colorado). The CEP Law & Policy Database can also be searched by resource type—i.e., wind, solar, bioenergy, geothermal, hydro, and energy efficiency / demand side management.
