CEP is reporting both candidate and potential landfill gas project with the same listing. EPA reports the following about potential landfill projects: LMOP defines a candidate landfill as one that is accepting waste or has been closed for five years or less and has at least one million tons of waste and does not have an operational or under construction project; or is designated based on actual interest or planning. Other landfills, with project status of "Potential", do not meet the candidate definition, whether because of complete or incomplete data; however, these landfills could have LFG energy project potential based on site-specific needs or if data were complete.
