Current Geothermal Installations in Colorado are made up of thermal use applications. These applications include; aquaculture, district heating, greenhouses, resorts/pools, and space heating. These five application types represent 28 MWt (megawatt thermal) and 140 GWh/yr (thermal). At this time no electrical generation in Colorado is a product of Geothermal energy, but projects are on the drawing board.

The Oregon Institute of Technology Geo-Heat Center has provided the data displayed above which includes a listing of the geothermal direct use project sites for Colorado. Each project site includes a summary concerning temperature of the resource, flow, capacity, and annual energy.
